PANEL 1 — TITLE
THE 7TH REFLECTION
A Visual Mystery by Forecasterman
Series 1 • Episode 4 • The Vanishing Clock
Main Character: Mary ma'am
PANEL 2 — STORY
The brass key marked 7:07 from the locked library leads Mary ma'am to the Old City Clock Museum.
The museum's most valuable exhibit, an antique clock called The Chronos Clock, has disappeared.
At 7:00 PM, the clock was safely inside its locked display cabinet.
At 7:20 PM, the cabinet is still locked—but the clock is gone.
The curator is baffled.
Curator:
“That clock weighs nearly eighty kilos. Nobody could have carried it out unnoticed!”
Mary examines the empty cabinet.
Mary ma'am:
“Then perhaps we shouldn't start by looking for the clock.”
The curator shows her two photographs of the gallery.
Mary ma'am:
“Let's see what changed.”
PANEL 3 — BEFORE
BEFORE — 7:00 PM
Show the Old City Clock Museum before the disappearance.
Important objects:
The Chronos Clock inside a glass display cabinet
CCTV camera pointing toward the cabinet
Red velvet barrier positioned straight around the display
Brass information plaque facing straight toward visitors
Tall potted plant beside the wooden cabinet
Security guard's chair beside the display
Large wooden cabinet
Small round mirror
Wall clock showing 7:00 PM
Museum brochure on a table
Side/service door, closed
Display spotlight
The curator stands beside the Chronos Clock.
Curator:
“It was here at seven.”
Mary studies the photograph.
Mary ma'am:
“And the display was secured?”
Curator:
“Locked and alarmed.”
PANEL 4 — AFTER
AFTER — 7:20 PM
Show the exact same gallery from the same viewpoint.
The Chronos Clock is gone.
The following six differences must be clearly visible:
1. CCTV CAMERA
Before: pointing directly at the display cabinet.
After: turned toward the opposite wall.
2. RED VELVET BARRIER
Before: straight around the display.
After: one section has shifted.
3. INFORMATION PLAQUE
Before: facing straight toward visitors.
After: turned slightly sideways.
4. SECURITY GUARD'S CHAIR
Before: beside the display.
After: moved toward the entrance.
5. POTTED PLANT
Before: beside the wooden cabinet.
After: moved slightly away from it.
6. WALL CLOCK
Before: 7:00 PM.
After: 7:20 PM.
The small round mirror remains in exactly the same position.
The side/service door still appears closed.
Mary compares the photographs.
Mary ma'am:
“Six things changed.”
She looks toward the wooden cabinet.
Mary ma'am:
“And I don't think any of them moved by accident.”
PANEL 5 — THE CLUES
Mary identifies the six visible differences:
1. CCTV — turned away from the display.
2. Velvet barrier — shifted.
3. Information plaque — turned sideways.
4. Guard's chair — moved toward the entrance.
5. Potted plant — moved away from the wooden cabinet.
6. Wall clock — changed from 7:00 to 7:20.
Mary follows the positions of the objects.
The plaque, chair and barrier appear to create a subtle line toward the wooden cabinet.
Mary ma'am:
“Someone changed the room to point me somewhere.”
She looks into the small round mirror.
THE 7TH REFLECTION
The mirror reflects the wooden cabinet.
From the main view, the cabinet looks completely normal.
But in the reflection, Mary notices a thin line of darkness beneath it.
She kneels down.
Mary ma'am:
“A gap…”
Mary looks behind the cabinet.
PANEL 6 — STORY RESOLUTION
Mary and the curator carefully move the wooden cabinet.
Behind it is a narrow service passage.
Fresh wheel marks run along the floor.
Mary follows them with her eyes.
Mary ma'am:
“Someone moved something heavy through here.”
She spots a small object on the floor.
It is a brass gear.
Mary picks it up.
The familiar seven-point symbol is engraved on one side.
On the other side:
7:07
The curator looks at it.
Curator:
“That's the same time from the key you found.”
Mary nods.
Mary ma'am:
“Four mysteries. One symbol. One time.”
She looks down the dark passage.
Mary ma'am:
“And now we have a trail.”
Suddenly, the museum lights flicker.
For a moment, the small round mirror reflects the Chronos Clock standing at the far end of the passage.
Mary turns toward the passage.
Nothing is there.
She looks back at the mirror.
The reflection is normal.
FINAL CAPTION
The clock has vanished.
But the mystery is ticking.
Mary places the brass gear beside the key in her notebook.
Mary ma'am:
“Someone wants me to follow the seven.”
